We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to expand our department's managerial bandwidth, under the supervision of our Operations Manager. As a Manufacturing Supervisor, your duties will include personnel coordination, onboarding of new manufacturing resources, administrative management of production employees and human resources to the production department, as well as, overseeing small-medium size product builds. You may be requested to prepare production schedules.
To be successful as a Manufacturing Supervisor, you should exhibit extensive experience in optimizing the job performance of employees under the supervision of a Senior Manager. Top-notch Supervisors are experts in training and motivating employees toward achieving a company's goals.
Reporting to the Production Operations Manager or other senior managers as required.
Assisting Production Management with administrative tasks--such as, but not limited to: Timesheet Management and PTO tracking
Liaising between Mangers, Lead Technicians and other employees.
Hiring and training new employees.
Assisting with quarterly employee evaluations and performance improvement program tracking
Lead safety program initiatives
Utilizing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six-Sigma tools to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies in a manufacturing setting.
Record and update standard operating procedures and best practices for production operations.
Creation of production related documentation under direction of Production Management.
Developing training materials and conducting training sessions related to organizational tasks.
Establishing business knowledge and awareness of shared company goals.
Monitoring both individual and team job performance metrics.
Providing staff with administrative guidance and assistance.
Relaying productivity concerns to the Operations Manager
Preparing job descriptions and work schedules.
Assisting with other administrative tasks, when required.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, HR Management, or similar.
4+ years of experience in a similar Supervisory role.
Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing, preferably in management
Ability to create candidate hiring profiles and to appoint suitable staff.
Extensive experience in compiling training materials and facilitating training.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six-Sigma process improvement strategies.
Experience in liaising between management and employees.
Exceptional ability to motivate employees and foster teamwork.
Proficiency in monitoring and reporting job performance metrics.
Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Prezi.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This is a full-time, salaried position with a target salary range of $58,000 - $68,000
