This is a contract role that ends one year from hire date.
This compensated one-year program will be open to applicants with an associate or bachelor's degree and will provide in-depth technical training within the Investigational Cellular Therapy (ICT). This group aims to take ideas from research partners and help steer those projects through research/preclinical stages and early phase clinical trials. The program will include didactics and training exercises as part of a common core curriculum with a chosen focus area relevant to specific career interests. Interns will be fully integrated with their respective teams and will have the opportunity to participate in a process development project or quality improvement initiative. Trainees will also be encouraged to participate and present at conferences such as ASGCT, ISCT, or SITC. This internship is an ideal entry point for individuals interested in technical or scientific positions supporting cell and gene therapy development. Our team constsis of 6 internal groups :

o Manufacturing
o Quality Control
o Quality Assurance
o Operations/Facilities
o Regulatory Affairs
The goal of this internship is to provide exposure to cell and gene therapy and an introduction to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within an academic space. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
